Citizenship in the Nation can be completed November 21 if you have completed the prerequisites and come prepared to learn and contribute.
A copy of http://meritbadge.org/wiki/images/2/20/Citizenship_in_the_Nation.pdf will be provided at the beginning of the session.
Bring it completed and participate fully in the discussion to get this Eagle Required MB earned. Discuss with your counselor means you add to the discussion not just listen to others. Passive listeners will not get credit for the class discussion, but active listeners and contributors will.
You can't do 2 or 3 in the room. However, you can knock out the visitiation requirements of two out and be prepared to explain your visit verbally in the room or in writing. Likewise 3 requires 5 days of activity on your part, and I won't provide newspapers for review in the room. The speeches listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famous_speeches are approved for use in our class. If you plan to use a speech that isn't on this list, email me to request clearance. Bring a printed copy of the speech so we can compare your explanation to the information available.
Be ready to think and explain your thoughts to a class of 14 peers. |
